Last updated: April 13, 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using Racket Tag ("the Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Nature of the Service

Racket Tag is a free, non-commercial hobby project provided for personal, informational, and recreational purposes only. It is not a professional product or commercial offering. The Service is provided by an individual, not a company, and carries no contractual obligations, service-level guarantees, or warranties of any kind.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service immediately.

3. No Warranty — "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE"

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Without limiting the foregoing, the operator makes no warranty or representation that:

  • The Service will meet your requirements or expectations;
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free;
  • Any data, results, or information obtained through the Service will be accurate, reliable, or complete;
  • Any defects or errors in the Service will be corrected;
  • The Service will be available at any particular time or location.

4. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE OPERATOR OF RACKET TAG SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE OPERATOR HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE OPERATOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO THE OPERATOR FOR THE SERVICE, WHICH IS ZERO (€0.00 / $0.00), AS THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE.

YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. THE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE.

5. Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge and agree that your use of the Service is entirely at your own risk. You are solely responsible for any consequences that arise from your use of the Service, including but not limited to any decisions made based on information obtained through the Service.

6. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of any third party.

7. User Accounts and Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account access.
  • You are solely responsible for all content you submit to the Service, including racket details, string information, and any notes.
  • You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful or prohibited purpose.
  • You must not attempt to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying infrastructure.

8. User-Generated Content

Any content you submit to the Service (racket details, notes, profile information) remains your responsibility. The operator does not claim ownership of your content but you grant a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

The operator is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of user-generated content. Content made publicly accessible via QR codes is shared at your own discretion and risk.

9. Service Availability and Modification

The operator reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time without prior notice. The operator shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

There is no guarantee of uptime, availability, data retention, or backup. You are encouraged to maintain your own records of any data you submit to the Service.

10. Data Loss

The operator is not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or inability to access your data. The Service does not guarantee data backup or recovery. You acknowledge that your data may be permanently lost without notice.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party infrastructure providers (including but not limited to authentication, database hosting, web hosting, and privacy-friendly analytics services). The operator has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the availability, security, or practices of these third-party services.

12. Analytics and Cookies

The Service uses essential cookies for authentication and session management, and privacy-friendly analytics (Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights) to understand usage patterns and improve performance. Analytics data is anonymized and aggregated. Analytics are only activated after you accept the cookie consent banner. You may withdraw your consent at any time through your profile settings. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

13. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user-generated content) are the property of the operator and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without explicit permission.

14. Termination

The operator may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without prior notice or liability. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. The operator is under no obligation to retain, return, or delete your data upon termination.

15. Changes to Terms

The operator reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms otherwise remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the operator regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

18. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the applicable courts of competent jurisdiction.

19. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms, you may open an issue on the project's public repository or contact the operator through the channels listed on the project page.
